The scent La Habana is based on a sailor’s reminiscence of Cuba before the revolution. The scent shines a light on the island’s golden musical era between the 1930s and 1950s.

The scent is aromatic, smokey and alluring. Fragrance notes include Saffron, Incense Resinoid and Laotian Oud. All 19-69 fragrances are suitable for any gender.

“Known as a playground for the mafia and wealthy elite, Havana in the mid 1900s hosted many vibrant music venues like the Tropicana or the members’ guild Buena Vista Social Club. The rhythmic pulsations of Habanera, Latin Jazz and Salsa that were heard everywhere coupled with the dazzling showgirls, added to the tropical island’s allure. After the revolution in 1959 many establishments closed down and with that an era of Havana ended. The scent La Habana is inspired by my uncle who was a sailor, his narratives of Cuba.”

“Summer of Love was a social phenomenon that occurred during the summer of 1967. A cultural earthquake determined to trash the previous generation’s old values and embrace a new consciousness of freedom, sex, drugs and rock’n’roll.

The search for enlightenment led the flower children to travel to places like Machu Picchu and Kathmandu using decorated, colorful Volkswagen buses. Ideas on the next hotspot or music festival were collectively shared within the hippie community by the Invisible Post.”

“The scent Higher Peace is influenced by the Merry Pranksters and the retired schoolbus Furthur, which enlightened America during the 60s. It’s about never stop learning. Letting your guard down, trying to understand each other and, with that, traveling through unknown waters. It is also a statement of peace, inspired by the values of bagism, a term created by Lennon and Ono in 1969. The intent of bagism is avoiding prejudice and stereotyping by not judging others on the basis on skin color, gender, sexuality, age or other.”

“I have always been captivated by legendary, trendsetting films. The movie Le Mépris from 1963 featuring Brigitte Bardot and Jack Palance is both iconic and stylish. The film incorporates a W scheme of red (tolerance, love), blue (coldness) and white (neutral) referring to the national flags of France and the USA and is evocative of the thematic elements of the narrative.”

“In 1996, California became the first state in the US to legalize medical cannabis. But scratch the surface and there has always been a long history of cannabis cultivators and enthusiasts dedicating their lives to refining the herb. Chronic is a term for cannabis and also alludes to the debut album by Dr. Dre. 'The Chronic' was released in 1992, the same year as the L.A riots.”
