Raf Simons Power, Corruption & Lies

When Raf Simons presented his SS18 collection earlier this year in NY’s Chinatown, it was heavily inspired by the artwork of Peter Saville, legendary UK graphic desginer. Saville made some of the most influential album covers in the 70’s and 80’s including the one for New Order’s ”Power, Corruption & Lies” – and Joy Divison’s ”Unknown Pleasures”.

Raf took inspiration from ”Power, Corruption & Lies” already back in 2003, for his Closer collection, and since then Supreme has taken on visual elements from the iconic New Order album artwork. Don’t be mistaken, Raf’s ability to tap into the smallest of Saville’s genius visuals is unparelled, which he again shows in the new styles.
