Nymphéas (Water Lilies) is a series of roughly 250 oil paintings by French Impressionist Claude Monet, depicting the artist’s renowned garden ponds at his home in Giverny. Painted over the last thirty years of Monet’s life—as his vision progressively blurred due to cataracts—‘Water Lilies’ is an extended study on the interplay of light, color, and reflection on water, testifying to nature’s constant transformation and ephemerality.
Inspired by Monet’s great cycle, Nymphéas (Water Lilies) is a floral fragrance exploring ambiguity, impermanence, and blurred perception. Solar water lily notes hover over lily of the valley, jasmine, and aquatic pond water which, in turn, mingle with earthy scents of vetiver, oak moss, and maté. Nostalgia is a love song to the French-Alps village of Grasse, where Kismet-founder Shabnam Tavakol studied perfumery. Structured on poetry’s 14-line sonnet form, the fragrance is composed of 14 raw materials.
Nostalgia’s first stanza is based on seductive suede, saffron, and leather accords, evoking Grasse’s roots as an epicenter of tanning in the Middle Ages. Heart notes include Rose de mai and nagarmotha as a nod to Grasse’s rise as the world’s perfume capital in the 18th century—home to hillside flower fields that meet the Mediterranean Sea. At its volta, Nostalgia turns upwards towards anisic top notes inspired by Pastis—the complex, herbal aperitif with which Shabnam developed an intimate relationship during after-school hours at Grasse’s sole watering hole, Le Crystal.
At once leathery, musky, floral, herbal, smoky, and spicy, Nostalgia is a unisex scent intoxicating to men, women, and everyone in between.

"Villa Nellcôte is a 16-room mansion of the Belle Epoque, previously occupied and used as headquarters by the local Gestapo during the Nazi occupation of France. In the spring of 1971, new rebellious tenants and their colorful entourage hosted the property for six months. The barefoot hippies, the beautiful settings and the dark past were a perfect match resulting in a rock album that to this day inspires people across borders and nations.
