This fresh, life-affirming Eau de Parfum is memorable for its seductive notes of leafy green citrus. Discreet yet stirring, in the manner of a sophisticated musical piece that grows more intensely pleasurable with each listening, it is the most concentrated expression of the signature perfume created for Of The Gods.
Containing 99.97 per cent naturally derived fragrance of the highest quality, the formula includes oils distilled from the sweetly scented flowers of Polygonum (aka Solomon's Seal), related to Lily of the Valley; the twigs, leaves and bitter-orange flowers of Petitgrain; and extracts of warm, woody, camphoric Patchouli heart, which is obtained using a precise process that eliminates the heaviness often associated with Patchouli.
How to use:
For the fragrance to accompany you unobtrusively throughout the day, spray lightly onto clothing, pulse points and the nape of the neck in the morning and/or evening (it will linger most consistently on fabric). Reapply as desired. For aromatic consistency, use in concert with Of The Gods companion products.

Polygonum Hand & Body Wash is a lightly exfoliating, sulphate-free gel cleanser formulated using extensively researched, natural and naturally derived ingredients and intended for everyday use. It efficiently dislodges sweat, grim and personal disorder; containing a generous quantity of 99.97 per cent natural fine perfume, it also imparts a seductive, uplifting green citrus fragrance that lingers subtly on the skin. A singular pleasure before or after a taxing commute.
Ingredients include select peptides to aid deodorisation, and finely milled Perlite for mild exfoliation. The flowers of Polygonum odoratum, related to Lily of the Valley, are intrinsic to the distinctive fragrance.

How to use:
When decanting, handle containers, pumps and caps with scrupulously clean hands, on a pristine surface. We suggest playing Maria Callas in the background. Protect the remaining contents of your refill container by fixing the lid tightly after decanting product, and storing in a cool, dry place.

Handle containers and caps with scrupulously clean hands, on a pristine surface. We suggest playing Mikis Theodorakis in the background. Carefully pour refill product into your original 75ML bottle until just below the start of the neck. Protect remaining contents of your refill by securing the lid firmly after decanting, and storing the container in a cool, dry place.

The scent is Spicy and Woody.
“The ‘peace and love sign’ was designed in the 1950s by Gerald Holtom and was along with the peace hand sign adopted by anti-war activists during the 1970s. The name 19-69 stands for just this: freedom, tolerance and counterculture. The scent Chinese Tobacco by 19-69 is also a reminiscence of a visit I made to a restaurant in Kuala Terengganu. It was late at night, the air was filled with wonderful aromas from the kitchen area, while a group of men was smoking and playing cards."

“I was in my teens when I first discovered Helmut Newton’s picture that made YSL’s ‘Le Smoking’ iconic. The genderlessness really made a big impression on me. With stark monochrome simplicity, Newton created a piece of iconography I still find myself inspired by. In the making of L'air Barbès I was strongly influenced by the androgyny in this picture. L'air Barbès by 19-69 is evocative of Paris’ different personas such as the concrete alleyways, la banlieue and of course, the area Barbès – Rochechouart. The fragrance is also a tribute to Paris, capitale de la mode.”

"In 19-69, a naked woman carrying a cross walked through the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. The performance act went under the name ‘Female Christ’. The social revolution and constant transgression of boundaries in the late 1960s meant that artists’ expressions took new directions. Some artists opposed of dominant values and behavior of society by using performance art: art that exists while in progress. However, this also means that significant voices and parts of art history from this time period risk to fade as they only exist as photographic or filmed records. The fragrance ‘Female Christ’ ensures that the memory of the art performance created and carried out by the artists Lene Adler Petersen and Bjørn Nørgaard at the Copenhagen Stock Exchange will live on forever."
