That is why it comes as no surprise when the AW17 collection Tour D'Afrique is another military focused collection with its main inspiration being the occupation of Africa as well as the interplay between Chinese and US occupation of different parts of the Sub-Saharan.

The collection expresses its inspiration sources in the unique mix of traditional Eastern and its patterns with contemporary Western influences and its soft textures. The collection has a natural color palette of earth tones, corals and the key color coltan. Khakis and camouflage colors in the collection expresses the inspiration from the military, with some pieces having been sandblasted to enhance the desert ready look. Finally, in order to add warmth to the winter collection, there are pieces in coral reds and sandy yellows.

From military style jackets to handworked embroidery of palm trees and parrots, Maharishi continues to mix delicate fabrics and upcycling with bold imagery.

In SS17 maharishi goes on a Tour of Africa, following American and Chinese military presence in the region. The U.S. and China pay inexorable amounts of money in annual rent for military bases to operate under the guise of supporting stability and infrastructure in the region, but trade interests are undoubtedly at play. Nomenclature across the collection is influenced by French colonisation and continued occupation of Africa.

Maison KitsunÈ x Ader Error

Ader Error and Maison Kitsuné get together for the second time for launching a completely new capsule collection. The clothing pieces play with fusing together the brands’ logos and aesthetics. The collection varies from t-shirts to knits, hoodies, and all the way to tote bags. All the products are made in Korea, using over-sized geometrical shaped, focusing on comfortable sport and casual wear. As the name suggests, the fox appears the all of the pieces, either printed or embroidered.

This season, Maison Kitsuné is rocking Tokyo, shooting the new images of the fall/winter 2013-14 lookbook. The main and driving inspiration behind these stunning and insightful images is the street-yet-chic style of the collections, artfully incorporating tradition and modernity. Captured moments showcase an emerging romance between the captivating and hottest cover girl based in Tokyo Kiko Mizuhara and the talented Parisian actor Niels Schneider. The Japanese and Tokyo-based photographer Kotori Kawashima, renowned for his genuine and natural style, shot them, while strolling and getting to know each other. Yoko Miyake artfully styled each look, using her expert eye and experience to bring this story to life with flair. Perhaps Tokyo was responsible for this blossoming romance with its breathtaking colors, cityscapes, and inspiring places such as Shibuya, Omotesand?, Harajuku, Yoyogi park and the T?g? shrine, the perfect backdrop for falling in love with Maison Kitsuné’s fall/winter vibe!

Mareld means sea-fire in old scandinavian language. It’s inspired by the rare sea phenomenon where creatures emit a blue bioluminescent glow. Marine's hybrid and thickly-referenced approach absorbes and combines codes from radically different worlds while still choosing to ignore the boundaries between ready-to-wear, couture, tailoring and sportswear. The collection builds on the tension between conceptual design and the sense of practicality: the crescent leitmotif, for instance, turns up on athletic stretch bodies and leggings, worn with red moiré “denim” jackets and high-waisted jeans.

Developing a new-functionalist “FutureWear”, as her crew calls it, upcycled used garments are revived into fresh pieces, utilitarian staples are tweaked and refined, while the pared-down suppleness of athleticwear still pervades her hybrid designs.

How to use:
For the fragrance to accompany you unobtrusively throughout the day, spray lightly onto clothing, pulse points and the nape of the neck in the morning and/or evening (it will linger most consistently on fabric).
