COMME des GARÇONS and KAWS are pleased to present the artist’s first scent, MIRROR. Inspired by KAWS’s multi-faceted practice, MIRROR brings a complex blend of optimistic fragrant notes together in collaboration to create a musky floral scent.
The bottle design is a nod to the artist’s iconic COMPANION character who materializes across a variety of medium, from fine art to consumer products, leveling the hierarchies between “high” and “low”.
Combining woody and herbaceous scents, GANJA promises an escape and sensorial stimulation.
Imagined by the perfumer Caroline Dumur, the aim was to put two worlds in parallel: the urban world by the design of its bottle created by Rei Kawakubo and the extrasensory world by its woody, spicy and airy aroma.
A muddy ride on horseback in sparkling green Fontainebleau forest. Woody, sharp, masculine elements. From Régime des Fleurs and Christopher Niquet.
"For a pony named Rock River Melody. Christopher and I worked together to capture that feeling of striking out into the outdoors for the first time after a long winter. Crisp spring mornings with young leaves on trees and flowers just beginning to bud. We envisioned the magic of the ancient forest of Fontainebleau outside of Paris whose vistas have been captured by artists and inhabited by French aristocracy for a millennium."

In Greek mythology naiads were nymph-like feminine spirits presiding over bodies of fresh water - fountains, springs, streams, and brooks. One such nymph was the seductive Minthe of the river Cocytus.
When spurned Queen Persephone discovered her husband Hades having an illicit affair, young Minthe was metamorphosed forever into a harmless common herb - sweet mint.
Notes - With iced Egyptian mint, frozen shiso, vanilla, elemi, olibanum, jasmine auriculatum, and vetiver
