STORM EXCLUSIVE: The G-Star RAW innovation lab, led by Aitor Throup, deconstructs denim to its purest form for its third capsule for men and its very first women’s collection.
SHOP THE EXCLUSIVE DROP HERE
Endeavoring to redefine the meaning of RAW by deconstructing denim to its purest form, the third collection of Raw Research presents new innovations in denim construction, silhouette and shape, all underscored by an undyed, unwashed and untreated raw denim. This approach is applied in equal measure across both the men’s and women’s collections, each collection featuring 10 pieces presented in undyed calico denim. In addition, the same collection goes through a process of hand dyeing where the indigo is added to the raw garments, resulting in an organically irregular visual effect. In an effort to challenge the convention of what defines ‘denim‘, the G-Star innovation lab separated, analyzed, and utilized the core elements of denim - the raw fabric and the indigo dye - in new and experimental ways.
For the brand’s third Raw Research collection G-Star also celebrated a first: the debut Raw Research women’s collection, and Throup’s first ever collective work of womenswear. The first dedicated women’s styles reflect the overall design philosophy of Raw Research III, and the resulting pieces seamlessly blend minimalism and functionality, without compromising femininity. For both the men’s and women’s collections the brand’s in-house innovation laboratory follows the same design approach – pushing the boundaries of product design through a process of exploration, curiosity and experimentation.

Universal Works and Le Fix have teamed up for a new project. A collaboration between friends, formed out of mutual respect and intended to strengthen the overseas friendship between the brands.
The jacket, made in a very limited edition of only 50 pieces worldwide, is a navy melton wool Universal Works bomber jacket silhouette. Both the back and fronts interchangeable badges of the bomber feature a hand drawn graphic by Le Fix designer Benny Kusk which manifest the spirit of the collaboration. These graphics are then hand embroidered onto each jacket where they show Britain and Denmark shaking hands, recognising the importance of community and cooperation in an artful and magnificently imperfect analog manner.

”Hanrej is an old and condescending term for a man with an adulterous wife.” The word originates from German hahnrei, which is a castrated rooster.
HANREJ is a Danish brand with its main focus on jewellery.
The designs are clean and elegant, while still communicating an abstract, reckless and distinctive appearance.
EXPLORE THE HANREJ COLLECTION HERE
The term HANREJ and its powerful meaning is the fundamental inspiration for the brand universe, which centres around a humorous and ironic view on gender roles, sex and a general questioning of traditional preconceptions.
Inspiration for the first collection especially lies in the human body. The impulsive and vivid features, that are gracefully framed by something orderly. Like the veins and organs of a human, neatly framed by our exterior.
The jewellery knows no gender and the complementing universe is original, entertaining and innovative.

Automobiles have always been a major part of our society. Everyone has a story they'd like to tell, a trip, a car, a detail, a smell, a roadside billboard, a particular gas station or even a breakdown...Yet no one has transcribed these memories and experiences into an aesthetic out of the car industry.

This is precisely what Arthur KAR and his creative team are doing at KAR. Combining their strong knowledge and understanding of the arts & fashion, and the reknowned yet secretive world of L'art De L'automobile, to create fundamental and conceptual garments.
Finding balance between high-end tailoring and design, the influence of street culture, and environment too often reserved to car aficionados, such is the ambition of KAR.

We live in a world where opportunities are not bound by your location on a map or the time on a clock. Your ‘desk’ is no longer a permanent fixture. And the lines between work and play are more intertwined than ever. With this freedom, comes the need for a bag that will flex to whichever direction your everyday life takes.
“With wallets, every millimeter matters. If cards don’t sit perfectly or there’s any dead space, you notice. Being fanatical about how contents sit and stack and play together means that, as we scale that up to bags, we can design pieces with less bulk and better freedom,” says Bellroy co-founder, Andy Fallshaw.

The Story of The Face tracks the exciting highs and calamitous lows of the life of the magazine in two parts. Part one focuses on the rise of the magazine in the 1980s, highlighting its striking visual identity—embodied by Neville Brody’s era-defining graphic designs, Nick Knight’s dramatic fashion photography, and the “Buffalo” styling of Ray Petr— and its unflinching approach to journalism. Contributors included a host of writers who subsequently made their impact in the wider world, from Julie Burchill, Robert Elms, Tony Parsons, and James Truman to Jon Savage, Richard Benson, and Sheryl Garratt.

Part two shows how in the 1990s, after surviving a disastrous Jason Donovan libel suit, the magazine heralded the post-acid house era of Britpop and Brit Art. However, after the magazine had become the engine of the booming British magazine industry, the end of this decade also saw the eventual demise of The Face. Including an introduction by Dylan Jones, The Story of The Face is an engaging behind-the-scenes look at the rise and fall of one of the 80s and 90s’ most influential music and style publications.
