The corduroy trouser is an icon in the alpine wardrobe. This classical tailored trouser shows a nicely shaped straight leg, regular lower sitting waistline with a frontal zipper flap, two welt-pockets in the front and additional two in the back, a light constructed waistband with cotton herringbone interior and frontal coin pocket access. The front leg is half lined for further fabric protection, comfort and longevity, as well as carefully bordered seam-lines on the interior.

The seamless fine rib 100% silk underwear items are crafted in Vienna with a fully automated, extremely precise machine traditionally used to make technical sportswear. The Wholegarment® machine was recalibrated by Rier to mix and combine four yarns together haphazardly, to create eleven different color combinations and patterns.

This prestigious popeline is a richly constructed 100/2 old English popeline, exceptional for its body, character and luxurious surface (la luce - reflection)

Perfect for all seasons, the Walker is made of 100% wool, woven like a knit and felted like a Loden. This explains the garment's lightness, natural stretch, silence in movements and its ability to not wrinkle. It remains extremely lightweight while protecting and regulating body temperature. The Walker Wrap skirt features a double breasted overlapped closure with 2 horn buttons, and sits perfectly in the waist.

The first instances of this garment were discovered in official sales documents dating back to the Middle Ages, when a local Austrian craftsman started producing this special wool fabric. The Walker became an iconic garment, presenting extremely modern features to this day. Importantly, the Walker does not release micro plastics into the environment and requires little washing.

The traditional flowers were historically used to adorn alpine costumes, and were worn by men only. Each village has its own representative flower. Today Rier offers flower embroidered garments made to suit everyone, freely.
