The first official street slang dictionary is celebrating its 10 year anniversary, in this ultra-limited edition pressing, only available at STORM.
The dictionary marked the beginning of a new era in the Danish rap scene, where the old guard of Danish rappers were being replaced by newcomers, representing a whole new sound and a new language, inspired by Arabic, Turkish, Kurdish, Spanish, French, Albanian and all the other languages spoken in and around the blocks of Denmark.
For the last 10 years, artists like Sivas, Gilli, Kesi, Benny Jamz and Branco, have been dominating the charts and have proven that what was once considered simply a fad, is here to stay for good. They have paved the way and opened the doors for newer artist like Lamin, ArtigeArdit and Icekiid, who have all become household names, dominating the radio airwaves and the charts.
To celebrate the culture of Danish "street-rap", the bestselling "GADE/DANSK Ordbog" has been pressed in an ultra-limited 10 year anniversary edition of 99 copies, only available here at STORM.
