BLS New Collection

BLS, the Danish up and coming streetwear brand, has just released their Cavaliere Della Capitale Collection. The Miftari brothers, who founded the brand in 2011, continue to be inspired by the streets of Frederiksberg, which they refer to as the Vatican of Copenhagen. They combine this tribute to Frederiksberg with a fascination of Italian design. This mix of inspiration results in timeless designs with a twist of functionality and comfort. Co-founder Besnik Miftari describes the styles as “Not only garments, it’s a lifestyle”.

Pigalle's hoop dreams
stormfashion.dk
"Pigalle is an arrondissement, an attitude, and one of today's most exciting brands. Stephane Ashpool's company speaks the lingua franca of global streetwear – he has signature hoodies, for example, signature enough to appear on the back of A$AP Rocky. Yet he skillfully clashes it with a fine tailoring aesthetic and a style grammar taken from the streets where he grew up, as the son of a Yugoslav ballet dancer, around the beyond-vibrant melting pot of the 18th arrondissement area that named his brand after." Chanel Art... By Karl Lagerfeld
stormfashion.dk
For the set of CHANELs Spring-Summer 2014 Prêt-à-Porter fashion show on 1 October 2013, Karl Lagerfeld transformed Pariss Grand Palais into a vast art gallery filled with specially created CHANEL artworks. CHANEL Art is a record of this gallery and unique moment in fashion history. Lagerfeld personally conceived each of the diverse paintings, sculptures and installations, many of which are ironic interpretations of CHANELs famous icons informed by a pop sensibility. Here we see expressive paintings of camellias, ladders with gold chains as rungs, and a cubist take on the two-tone shoe jostling for space alongside a robot in the shape of a No 5 perfume bottle and a giant sculpture of the double C logo. The myriad themes of art similarly shaped Lagerfelds collection from dresses printed with color charts, fabrics like canvases spattered with paint, to graffitied art students backpacks all proof that the designers fashion creations and the sets in which they are shown are themselves like single consolidated artworks.
